Hiroya Tsukamoto to perform at the Sunapee Coffeehouse

hiroya tsukamotoSunapee, N.H. — Japanese guitarist and songwriter Hiroya Tsukamoto will perform at the Sunapee Community Coffeehouse on Friday, October 4, 2013, from 7 to 9 p.m. The Coffeehouse is held at the Lake Sunapee United Methodist Church, Lower Main Street, Sunapee.

Tsukamoto came to the U.S. after receiving a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music. He has performed internationally, appeared at Blue Note in New York and released five albums. His latest album Heartland features elements from several genres expressed in Japanese songs and guitar instrumentals.

Tsukamoto recently performed on Japanese National television.

The Coffeehouse will pass the hat for the musician. Coffeehouse volunteer Judy Thackaberry will emcee the evening. Mountain Spirit Institute is the program sponsor.
