Sunapee Schools: Pennies for Patients fundraiser

The Sportsmanship Council at the Sunapee Central Elementary School also says "thanks" to all that contributed to its Pennies for Patients collection. The two school groups raised $1,110 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The Sunapee Middle School Student Council recently completed a Pennies for Patients fundraiser. The event benefited the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and it emphasized compassion and character building.

With collection boxes in classrooms throughout the middle high school, students and staff raised $532.16 for cancer research, reports Rose Abendroth for the middle school student council.

“Thank you for supporting this worthwhile cause.”

Pennies for Patients focuses on the idea that regardless the size of a monetary donation when we all work together we can make a positive impact.
