A community forum, Imagine … Sunapee in 2020, where townspeople can ask questions and share ideas, will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Pete’s Shed, River Road, Sunapee Harbor. Refreshments and childcare will be available.
Sunapee Harbor Riverway and Project Sunapee are sponsoring the event. The invitation says it is “an exciting community forum just for you! Everything you ever wanted to know about our town… explored and explained in one afternoon. Spend 10 minutes or two hours – ‘speed dating’ style. Drop in anytime between 2 and 5 p.m.”
Perhaps you have questions about the town:
- What’s the Master Plan?
- Where are we going?
- How can I help make the decisions?
- Who owns what in Sunapee Harbor & Village?
- What recreation facilities are available in town?
- Who plants the flowers?
- What’s happening with the “old town hall”?
- Is anybody listening?
Representatives from town and school boards and volunteer and civic groups will be on hand to explain their mission, share their goals and seek your input to better serve community needs, according to the release.
The forum, most importantly, will give people an opportunity to share their ideas. The invitation asks: “What do you envision for our town as we Imagine Sunapee in 2020?”
