Blizzard warning remains in effect for Merrimack County

A blizzard warning remains in effect today (Dec. 27)  for much of Maine and New Hampshire including Merrimack County, NH according the National Weather Service. Snow accumulations of 10 to 18 inches are expected in the Lake Sunapee area.  An inch per hour is possible this morning, and one can expect northerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts over 45 mph, which can lead to whiteout conditions.

For NH’s Sullivan County, a Storm Warning remains in place until 3 pm today, according to WMUR Storm Watch 9.
