Sunapee Seniors plans Veterans Day program

On Monday, Nov 8th at 1 pm, at the Sunapee Methodist Church, the Sunapee Seniors will hold a Veterans Day program in remembrance of all of our veterans who have served our country, writes Joe Internicola, president of the Seniors. “Babe Sargent has arranged to have two long time Sunapee residents, Dick Leone and Dick Mathiesen, address our group. Both served in the Marines, 1950 through 1953 during the Korean War and will share some of their stories with us.”

All are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served following the program.

Then, on Monday, Dec. 13, the Seniors will hold their annual Christmas luncheon that will be held at One Mile West at 12 noon. Paul and Ruth Pratt are in charge of the arrangements.

Reminder: Monday, Oct. 25 the Lake Sunapee VNA will be hold a flu-shot clinic at the Sunapee Methodist Church from 10 am to 12 noon. The Sunapee Seniors will then host a pot-luck luncheon for members. Those interested in joining the group are invited to attend. (Membership: $8/yr).
