News from the Lake Sunapee Area Business Group

The social media seminar held in February at the Best Western in Newbury and sponsored by the Lake Sunapee Region Chamber of Commerce was a “great success” with more than 85 people in attendance, said Rob Bryant, the Chamber director. In a Chamber message to members, Bryant said that additional forums on the subject and “focused social networking topics are being evaluated.”

To further help members and community groups get their message out, the Chamber is in the process of  adding features to its regional calendar. The improvements will make the on-line calendar more user-friendlier. Businesses and organizations in the region can post directly to the calendar; listings are then reviewed for completeness and appropriateness before being added. Calendar users will be able to search for events and programs by category:

  • Educational
  • Recreation
  • Business Events
  • Art, Theater and Culture
  • Especially for Kids

For more info about the Chamber and its community calendar, email Bryant at: chamberinfo@nhvt.net. The Chamber is also on Facebook.
