Fireworks July 4 and 5 in Sunapee

greenredwhiteblue_jbFireworks in Sunapee are scheduled to start after dusk Saturday night, and the “best viewable spot is Sunapee Harbor,” according to Rec Department Director Scott Blewitt. Saturday’s pyrotechnics is sponsored by the town’s rec. department, but paid for by private donations. The rec department recently raised $10,000 for the show.

On Sunday evening at dusk, the Lake Sunapee Yacht Club will hold its fireworks display.

Other Independence Day activities today in Sunapee include a parade that starts at Saint Joachim Church, Route 11 at 11 a.m., games at Dewey beach at noon, and a Scavenger Hunt at the Ben Mere bandstand at Sunapee Harbor that gets underway at 7 p.m.
