Sunapee – The fleet of Sunapee Fire Department engines (left) made its way up Central Street earlier today in the town’s Fourth of July parade.

Captain Lawrence Brudnicki, Sunapee, (below) was the parade grand marshal. He rode in Harry Gazelle’s 1965 Ford Mustang.

Brudnicki was inducted into the US Coast Guard Hall of Heroes in April 2009 for his leadership role as Commanding Officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Tamaroa during the so-called Perfect Storm, otherwise known as the 1991 Halloween Nor’easter and No-Name Storm.
