Sunapee 03782 Reads About Guild 03754 and Patryc Wiggins

Another compelling story. Patryc Wiggins, Guild, 03754, talks with Jason Johns from the Valley News. See the profile in this week’s Zip Codes. Wiggins speaks in personal terms about growing up in Newport, class inequities, community development and her art–tapestry weaving.

As many may re-call, Wiggins brought the international Biennial V exhibit of the American Tapestry Alliance to Guild, to the Dorr Mill in 2004. If you didn’t see the exhibit, it was breathtaking! The tapestries, the mill setting and the accompanying tool and technology display, wove together our past, present and future. It spoke to the history of the region and universal challenges facing American manufacturing.

Wiggins is the founder of the Guild Institute dedicated to precision manufacturing in New Hampshire.
