Sunapee Sunfest at State Park Sunday, Sept. 21

Mountain Spirit Institute of Sunapee, NH will be sponsoring the 3rd Annual Sunapee Sunfest on Sunday, September 21 at Mount Sunapee State Park 10 AM to 4 PM with a concert to follow from 5 to 8 PM. The family-friendly event will host nearly 80 vendors, 30 speakers, healing sessions in massage and Chinese medicine, outdoor activities for all ages and demonstrations of solar, wind and bio-diesel technologies. The cost of admission: Adults, $5 for the festival or concert; $7.50 for both events. Family Pass, $15. Children under 16, free.

Vendors include Outward Bound USA, All Terrain and Borland, Sundance Solar and the Kearsarge Indian Museum.

Music will be performed throughout the day and feature guests Shannon Corey of New York City, The Click Horning Band and Fat Hands. Also performing, during their first visit to the U.S., is the Peruvian band Chimu’s playing traditional folklore music from the Andes.

This event not only serves to educate and inform, it is a fundraiser for MSI, a non-profit educational organization that runs wilderness and holistic programs in New England, the western U.S., Alaska and Peru and works to “facilitate one’s reconnection to self, each other and the environment”.
