Douglas N Blodgett, born 1923, parents Clarence and Estelle, siblings Olive, Vernon, Robert and Burt. lived in Wendell, pvt 1st class USMC, missing in action.
Harland F Chase, 14 Jul 1924-8 Mar 1945, wife Arlene, son Robert Harland Chase, pvt USMC Reserve, killed at IwoJima, buried Pine Grove Cemetery.
William A O&#039;Haier, born 1914, parents Robert and Celia, wife Shirely E Dunlop, enlisted 18 Nov 1942 USArmy, grammer school education, occupation lumberjack, killed in Italy, buried in Nettuno, Italy.]]></description>

The Beautification Cmte. commissioned the signs from artisan Peter Mauer.
Everyone who volunteered to help with the &quot;Secret Gardens of Sunapee&quot; tours in 2003 and 2005 ... especially the homeowners who graciously shared their gardens  .... raised the funds that made the three signs welcoming all to our community possible.  The daffodils were received in recognition of the Greenup Day efforts.]]></description>
