Music for Everyone at the Sunapee Community CoffeeHouse

SCCoffeeHouseSunapee, N.H. — The Sunapee Community CoffeeHouse has a full schedule of Friday night music coming up.

“We have a very busy May in store…[and] a diversity of musical styles,” said Tom Daniels, a CoffeeHouse volunteer. “There will be many local performers to enjoy, as well as some coming to us from as far away as Nashville. There should be a show for everyone to enjoy.”

“We would love to see you there,” added Daniels.

The CoffeeHouse meets at the Lake Sunapee United Methodist Church on the corner of Lower Main Street and Route 11, Sunapee. (Time: 7 to 9 p.m. Donations accepted.)

May 2 – The trio Random Acts of Harmony will be performing contemporary and folk revival music. Audiences like their tunes, love their harmonies, and not too surprisingly begin singing along.

May 9 – Balladeer, poet and songwriter John Perrault presents an evening of ballads, lyrics, and fresh cross-grained songs focused on the art of paying attention: to your neighbor, government, planet, and self. With three books and nine albums under his belt, Perrault draws on a range of traditions, both oral and written, to challenge the head and stir the heart. Perrault was the Portsmouth (N.H.) Poet Laureate (2003-2005).

May 16 – Doug Kwartler and Susan Levine: two stunning artists will team up for one stellar night.

May 23 – This evening features sets from Davey O. and Annalise Emerick.

May 30 – The tradition continues with open mic on the last Friday of the month.  Stop by to listen or join in. Storytellers are welcome.  The emcees for the evening will be Al Carruth and EJ Tretter. For more information, visit the CoffeeHouse website.
