Singer and songwriter Joel Cage returns to the Sunapee Community Coffeehouse on Friday, October 5. The music starts at 7 p.m. at the Community Methodist Church (meeting room), Lower Main Street, Sunapee.
As described in the Boston Globe: “Joel Cage’s thoughtful songs are straightforward and sure, with a voice to match, but it’s his brilliantly sharp guitar-work that ignites the tunes.”
A one-time member of the internationally acclaimed rock & roll group Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Cage has been performing regionally and nationally as a soloist for the past 15 years.
“Cage has been a big fan of the Sunapee Community Coffeehouse, and the feeling is mutual. The CoffeeHouse welcomes him back with open arms,” says CoffeeHouse founder Randy Richards.
“His evenings leave you with a full heart. He reminds me a bit of U2, in energy and style.”
The CoffeeHouse is an all-volunteer effort that seeks to offer a listening room for professional and amateur musicians and appreciative audiences. There is no cover charge; they pass the hat for the musicians and venue expenses.
