Spring Ledge Farm, New London, offers an on-line newsletter and today’s email from owner Greg Berger spoke of a surprise! It also included a link to a video on YouTube…of two newborn lambs, Snowy and Ashes. “Already up and about, the lambs wobbled a few feet and plopped back down,” Berger wrote. “Mom, being a sheep, proceeded to get up and go outside for her food. Not much stands between a sheep and her food. All this is a surprising treat in itself. But the real trick here is that we weren’t expecting any lambs this spring. A complete surprise!”
The Farmstand, located on Main Street in New London, opens April 8. April hours: Mon. – Fri., 10 to 6 / Sat. 9-5. Starting April 26, open Sundays. Spring Ledge Farm is a NH ‘Farm of Distinction’. The Dept. of Agriculture award “recognizes farms that do an outstanding job of appealing to the non-farm public.”
