Clean Air-Cool Planet, with help from NH’s premiere land use planner Jeff Taylor, has put together a Toolkit “to assist communities in implementing sustainable policies and projects.” The Toolkit is a web-based “how-to” guide for municipal staff and elected or appointed representatives. It provides: step-by-step project guides, important contacts, financing mechanisms, cost implications and model ordinances. Its focus is on: energy, transportation, waste and land use. Also, Cool Air-Cool Planet offers tips for greening your office or organization.
Sunapee residents that attended the 2007 town Master Plan session on long-term planning and development will remember Jeff from Jeffrey H. Taylor and Associates. He facilitated the forum for the Sunapee planning board.
The Sunapee planning board is now in the middle of a multi-year process to update the town’s 1998 master plan. The board meets twice monthly for site plan reviews and master plan sessions. Meetings are open to the public and held at the town office meeting room, Edgemont Road.
Alternates to serve on the planning board are needed. For more information, contact Sunapee Planning Board Chair Peggy Chalmers or Town Planner Michael Marquise.
