Planting gardens and trees should be a feel-good thing. From the past: From perhaps the 1930s, this panorama of Sunapee Harbor (NH) gives an interesting historic perspective. The town acquired the Woodsum Steam Boat Wharf and adjacent property in 1944 and later built restrooms and public parking on the parcel. The public lakefront green (to the right) remains open.

There’s growing interest in Sunapee in wind energy. A proposal to install a “small wind” turbine to generate energy for a single residence came before the zoning board July 10, 2008. You can read about the proposal in the zoning board minutes on the Town of Sunapee website.
